Recently, I had one heck of a wild Saturday full of weddings. I started out the morning at 7am second shooting for Calgary Wedding Photographer Stephanie Cragg. Finishing my shooting at 11am that morning, I was off to photograph Nadia and Jeremy’s wedding! And what a wedding it was!

Here are a few of my faves from the day.

The second part of my double header weekend at the end of August was with Michelle and Marc’s wedding out in St. Albert and here in Edmonton for the reception. I met up with the girls at the salon and casually shot a little bit there, before we moved on to Michelle’s parents’ house for the girls to get ready.

I was just amazed when I saw Michelle’s wedding dress, and her flower girl’s dress. Michelle’s dress was simply stunning, and her flower girl’s dress was totally cute!

After their ceremony, we stopped off at Red Willow Park to take their family and bridal party photographs. Their reception was held at the Polish Hall here in Edmonton. Complete with 11 piece band The Retrofitz, it was a rockin’ good time!

Renee and Rob are clients from this year, and just a fabulous couple. We chatted before their wedding about the possibility of doing a trash the dress session sometime after the wedding, and once I had given my thoughts as to what we could be doing, they were in!

I had some friends join in for the fun of shooting these two, and we all just had a blast. Denise Neufeld is from Chico, California and is one of the administrators on the trashthedress.com website. Rebecca Lippiatt-Long is one of my local photographer friends, and I’ve been fortunate to have her second shoot for me occasionally this year.

Even Rob had a blast with this. He brought out his 2007 Ducati 1098 motorcycle for some of the photos and then did a little burnout at the end once he was back on the streets. We ended up with some amazing photographs out of all of this, and here are a few of my favourites. Please do leave some feedback if you like them!

On a double header weekend, I shot Karolyn & Tim’s wedding on a Friday, and we simply had a blast. A fun, outgoing couple who were up for anything, as you’ll see in their photos!

We did their wedding photographs at Government House at the Royal Alberta Museum, and various places on the grounds there. A beautiful location to shoot at, it is a favourite for many wedding photographers in Edmonton.

One of my favourite weddings this year was Sheranda and Phil’s wedding on August 18th. My faithful blog followers may remember Sheranda from Meghan and Jordan’s wedding back in July. Three of Sheranda’s bridesmaids had also been a part of Meghan and Jordy’s big day, so it was a fantastic little reunion for me.

The ladies had these fabulous silvery platinum coloured dresses as you’ll see in the photos, and the boys had matching tuxedos.

Their wedding ceremony at the Union Bank Inn was simple, elegant and beautiful. Shortly after the ceremony, the skies opened up and a steady drizzle began, so we ran over to the Citadel Theatre for their family and bridal party photos, and then we were off to Sherlock Holmes, a local English pub for a few beverages and appetizers before we headed back to a wonderful meal at the Union Bank Inn.
