On the August long weekend, I had the very good fortune to be shooting Jasmine and James’ wedding. They had a simple and beautiful wedding ceremony at the Citadel Theatre here in Edmonton which was officiated by James’ brother in law.

Afterwards, we did a bit of shooting inside the Citadel Theatre, and continued on to take some of their wedding photographs at the Alberta Legislature, as well as Ezio Faraone Park nearby.

Their wedding reception was in one of my favourite rooms, the Top of the Inn at the Delta Edmonton South. With windows lining both the north and south sides of the room, you have an amazing view while enjoying dinner. It also allows for some funky and creative flash shots, as you’ll see in the last photo below.

Enough of my ramblings though. Here is a small selection of my favourites from the wedding day.

On July 21st, I got to shoot Meghan and Jordan’s amazing wedding at St. Joseph’s Basilica. Being my first time shooting there, I was a bit nervous about it. But, I am just simply amazed at these photographs from there. The Basilica is one of the most sought after churches to be married at in Edmonton, and after shooting here, I can totally see why.

Meghan and Jordan are two truly amazing people who just have a simple love for each other that is clearly evident. I am truly blessed to have them as both clients and friends.

On a lovely Wednesday afternoon, I met up with Erin at the Hotel MacDonald to begin coverage of her wedding day.

Erin and Rob are both members of the Canadian Military, with Rob being a member of the PPCLI and being deployed early in the new year. Two truly amazing people with an amazing love for each other, Erin and Rob were married in the gazebo at the Hotel Mac. I just loved their entire day with all the details and everything that went along with the day.

Back on July 14th, I photographed Charlene and Curtis’ amazing wedding at Fort Edmonton Park. We started our day at MAC Cosmetics in West Edmonton Mall, and then moved to a theme room at the Fantasyland Hotel.

The atmosphere at Fort Edmonton is amazing! The various streets are representative of different periods in Edmonton’s history, and were totally awesome. We even found an old merry go round at Gyro Park there! I truly LOVE the photos that we shot on the merry go round!

On 7/7/7 I was fortunate to be photographing Melody and Jason’s wedding. They are a fabulous couple who are so totally in love. Add to that a spectacular day which made this one extra special. Melody had wonderful details for her wedding, a few of which you’ll see in the pictures below.

Melody and Jason were married at Millwoods Pentecostal Assembly. After their lovely ceremony, we moved to Convocation Hall at the University of Alberta where we shot their family and bridal party photos. That proved to be one of our best moves, as there had been 500+ wedding licenses issued for that day, and we new that all the regular locations that people get pictures at would be just madhouses!
