I truly do have a kickass job. I get to hang out with wonderful people on the happiest day of their life and capture the joy, fun and emotion of their day.

Michelle and Jaie’s wedding was no different, and was a day filled with emotion and touching moments. From Michelle’s brother serenading her with a beautiful song while he was welcoming Jaie to the family, to her dad’s touching and hilarious speech which included showing off the “dowry” that Jaie had given when he asked for Michelle’s hand in marriage.

It’s been a crazy summer with some fabulous weddings already, and so many more to come. I’m thrilled with the amazing moments I’ve been privileged to capture and wanted to share a few here.

First up we have some amazing photographs from Sabrina and Daryl’s amazing June wedding. An incredible day filled with joy, tears, and laughs all around.

Sabrina had hired the incredible team at VIP Event Consultants to handle the wedding day details so that she would not have to stress out about anything. What an amazing job the VIP Events ladies did as well. Mista and Sarah, it was great to meet you both. Thanks for doing such a bang up job!

I had the honour of capturing the wedding day photos for Kerry and Jennifer recently, and I can’t even begin to describe how amazing their wedding ceremony and reception were. With some musical accompaniment from one of their children for the processional and recessional, an aboriginal dancer who performed the “Grass Dance” for the guests at the reception, and some amazing scenery for the Kerry and Jennifer’s portraits at the McGrath Mansion here in Edmonton, it all made for a very memorable day to say the least.

Below, I have attached a few of my favourites from their wedding day. I hope you love these photos as much as I do. Especially the photograph of the aboriginal dancer. He was amazing!

Right after shooting Dana and Adam’s fabulous engagement session, I headed over to the Alberta Legislature buildings to photograph Marie and Jamie for their engagement photo session. What a fabulous couple they are. Very competitive curlers, successful in their everyday lives, and so obviously in love. With clients like the ones I have, I am truly blessed to be able to hang out with such wonderful and amazing people.

I’ve been on a serious black & white or duotone conversion kick lately. And I love the texture that shows through in many of these images.
